At last night's meeting, we discussed the possibility of an RUR group outing.
At the MUCC (the multi-use community center: see http://muccc.org/) there will be production of Karl Capek's circa 1920 play, RUR (Rossum's Universal Robots). This is the play from which the term "robot" came. It was very popular in its time, was produced around the world, and is arguably one of the very greatest classic works of SF. So: shall we do a group outting? The dates are July 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 (see: http://muccc.org/events/?p=2604). The 6th being the first Tuesday in July, we could even do that as our usual meeting. Or we could do another night. My experience is that the MUCC tickets sell out, but not necessarily early. Shall we pick a night, and try to meet up there? Which night? I vote for the 6th or 8th -- later shows mean the actors had a whole week of practice. cd -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "R-SPEC: The Rochester Speculative Literature Association" group.
