We had a terrific publication party today for 2034: Writing Rochester's Futures at Mood Make's Books. Forty or fifty people turn out including Jack Garner, who spoke and some new folks come in that saw Jack's newspaper article and just wanted to find out what it was all about. Janice and I also spoke. At the end of the speaking, when I asked if anyone had any questions, my 7-year-old jumped up and asked if we could buy a book she found in the bookstore, reading aloud a particularly fabulous passage. Wayne taped it all and says we'll see it sometime on his TV show. Friends brought balloons that spelled out 2-0-3-4! We had great food from Chef Piecroft Doubleday's "Hungry Hippodrome" (as in Ben Chapman's story). We also had a chance to meet some of the authors that we had never seen in person. It was great to put a face with each name! We sold nineteen books and a lot of those left the store signed. We left some books with Mood Makers to sell on consignment and we'll be hitting up more stores in the next week.

Thanks to everyone, most especially Nick DiChario, for putting this event together. It couldn't have happened without you, Nick.

Woo Hoo! Our first publication is launched.
