Vaguely similar idea to *Roadside Picnic* (which I'm sort of half-way to deciding is all a metaphor for the inscrutability of corrupt bureaucracy), & the temptation to see it as a metaphor for the drug war is pretty strong. (Another advantage to low budget: you can work fast enough to stay topical.) Did you rent or is it showing around here somewhere?
