Tonight's meeting (usual place & time*) will find Frank Glover leading a discussion of where the space program is at. It's actually a really exciting time, with the Opportunity rover still kicking years after the scheduled end of its mission, Commercial Crew & Cargo going strong and making great progress, and robotic and probe exploration forging ahead despite cutbacks. Frank follows developments closely, and will be able to help us understand what's important to worry about. [ http://r-spec.org/june-2012-yes-virginia-there-space-program]
I'm planning to set a hard stop for the meeting at about 8:45 to deal with R-SPEC business, including distribution & presentation of the annual report and election of a new board. I will finalize the list of board nominees later this afternoon, and the floor will be open for additional nominations at the meeting. (Board members must be members of R-SPEC during the time they are serving.) -- *PLACE: Pittsford Barnes & Noble, Community Room TIME: gather from 7pm, presentation to begin promptly at 7:30. -- -- eric scoles | [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "R-SPEC: The Rochester Speculative Literature Association" group.
