I wanted to drop by and let anyone interested in improving their writing about Taos Toolbox. Here's a bit of the description:
Taos Toolbox will be a "graduate" workshop designed to bring your science fiction and fantasy writing to the next level. If you've sold a few stories and then stalled out, or if you've been to Clarion or Odyssey and want to re-connect with the workshop community, this is the workshop for you! You can read more at http://taostoolbox.com/index.htm. The course is taught by Walter John Williams and Nancy Kress. I attended in 2011 and I can't describe how useful the experience was to my writing. I also met a number of amazing people with very similar interests. The course is much like Clarion only much more affordable and the more reasonable time commitment is easily managed by writers who also have 40 hour a week day jobs (like myself.) This year's class hasn't yet met its quota so there's still room.
