Explanation:

The RabbitMQ team used to run a mailman-based mailing list. We've since migrated to the Google Group above.

Several years ago, some helpful community member created this group as a mirror of the mailing list, and then disappeared. This group therefore has no moderator or administrator, and no meaningful prospect of gaining one.

We don't feel comfortable using such an out-of-control group as a venue to help our users. So we created the group "rabbitmq-users" instead.

While we obviously don't want to stop people from discussing RabbitMQ in any venue they choose, you should be aware that your chances of getting an answer to your question from the team are much higher in rabbitmq-users than here.
