Hi Ian, If you are using a purely mechanical betting style (like me), and you think the Aussie horse could be a danger, you could consider just leaving out that race as a betting option. There aren't too many of them (where an Aussie horse with no NZ form is starting). Incidentally, I don't touch those 3200 metre cups races in any case.
There are a few more occasions now where Hong Kong horses are returning. Normally they are past their best anyway, which is why they are trying their luck back here. I am struggling to think of an occasion where one of these have done any good. The presenters on trackside often rave about them and their dividend is subsequently well below what it should be which presents the NZ horses with improved divvies. Peter.
