scribble --pdf works fine if I leave out the number-style tag, yes. If I do not specify a target file, I get the error saying I should specify one.
Note: I obfuscated user-specific path information with **** below. scribble --latex ... generates a .tex file as expected, with numbered entries, but compiling the .tex file example_paper2.tex in my LaTeX editor hangs.
