For the (search engine) record: No matter what I did, I couldn't get Aquamacs to take seriously my request to put the file in UTF-8 format. So I switched from editing in Aquamacs to editing in DrRacket to put on accented character in. When I reloaded the file, Aquamacs was happy to edit in UTF-8, and I didn't even need to use string-normalize-....
