Hi Hendrik, Here is a blog post from 2012 about Racket on Android: http://www.wedesoft.de/racket-on-android.html
This proves that it is possible to get it running on Android. It mentions that Racket is slow to load, due to the large runtime. The version used was 5.2 and in the mean time version 6 of Racket has made minimal distributions possible. Hopefully that has improved the loading time. I vaguely remember talk about bundling modules in zip-files in order to reduce io, but I can't remember if it was implemented. It would be interesting to hear how things are now. Also of interest, a thread on cross-compiling Racket: http://lists.racket-lang.org/dev/archive/2013-September/013401.html /Jens Axel 2014-06-29 14:39 GMT+02:00 Hendrik Boom <hend...@topoi.pooq.com>: > On Sat, Jun 28, 2014 at 11:10:17PM -0700, Steve Graham wrote: >> I have been interested in the Lisp family of languages for a while.
