Clearly, the original post has been received by this list. It was also received 
by my desktop fetchmail utility. When I replied from my desktop, the reply (as 
any other email set from my desktop to this list) was shown as "status=sent" 
from my mail.log, but it is not showing as being received.

My conclusion is that this group is not accepting emails from my desktop. That 
might mean that something in my IP address or domain/Reverse DNS is causing 
such a rejection. I currently receive and send to at least two dozen email 
lists, including ones that I maintain myself, including other google groups and 
more "traditional" mailman-based setups.

It would be so much more convenient if I could send email to this group from my 
desktop. I'd appreciate some help or commentary on this matter.
