Yes, I compiled under 10.5 (Leopard) this time. Perhaps there's a way
to back-link it to a version that's supported on earlier OS releases?

X11 wasn't installed on all versions of Mac OS X, and the procedure
keeps changing. You might see if it's an optional item on your OS X
disk. But, also, Greg, what version of Mac OS are you using? If
it's Leopard (10.5) or Snow Leopard (10.6), it might be that that
version of the library doesn't exist on Tiger (10.4.)
