Hi, I'm working on a gallery extension..if you want give that a try:

It adds a "Gallery" tab in the radiant admin where you can create
galleries, upload files and sort them.
It's not a final release..I'm working on..
extract it in your vendor/extensions directory and type:
rake radiant:extensions:gallery:install
rake radiant:extensions:gallery:example
