First, you shouldn't be running it in test mode, which is only for running the RSpec and Cucumber test suites.

I wanted to run Selenium browser tests to interact with an extension that changes the Radiant admin options. I would expect the site to behave the same as it does in production mode, expect for externals (such as not sending mail or permanently altering files). Otherwise, how do I know I'm testing the behavior I'll have in production?

I hope Radiant isn't going to hinder me in testing the site using the tools I prefer.

Second, that happens because Radiant includes an extension that only loads in test mode and includes the default route :controller/:action/:id.

Which extension is that?

I created a fresh Radiant site, added none of the extensions I have in my other site, and the routing seems fine, leading me to think that the change in routing is from some 3rd-party code.
