Hi Dmitry,

We're using the gorilla blog extension on a site currently in development:
http://github.com/jomz/radiant-gorilla-blog-extension/

Part of the extention creates a year/month heirarchy for archive page types.  
Works pretty well.  

I haven't seen anything for controlling the size of the drop-down when you 
copy/move a radiant page.  We have this issue on another site as well so if you 
hear of anything, let me know.

There was an extension called admin_page_tree, I think, that would group 
pages underneath Archive pages by month/year.  Although the code may not 
be current, you might be able to glean something from it.
