As a newcomer to rails and radiant, I am a bit over my head in terms of the
details of configuration. The documentation seems to have a large gap
between installing radiant and using the admin panel, and my somewhat
unusual constraints mean that a lot of defaults don't work for me.

What I'm looking to be able to do at the moment is get a working admin panel
and site from the radiant rails app. However, I am administrating the web
site on a remote (shared host) server from behind a *very* restrictive
proxy. I need the admin console to be accessible from anywhere via https on
port 443 (to protect passwords). Is this something configured in the apache
passenger module, or in radiant? How do I configure this?

I'm a bit at a loss to figure out how the admin console works in the radiant
rails app, but like I said, I'm just starting to learn rails, so there's a
lot of stuff I can't figure out. Right now my primary concern is to get a
reasonably secure site up as quickly as possible and look at making it
fancier later on when I know more and have more time.
