Hi guys,
All of a sudden I have started seeing this error:
Sat Sep 25 09:45:12 1999: ERR: The command '/usr/bin/finger @203.37.222.90'
failed with error -1. Please check the value of FingerProg in your
configuration file
Why is this? /usr/bin/finger is there... However this is the output I am
getting when I run that finger:
/dev/ttyE47: Device or resource busy
/dev/ttyS0: Permission denied
/dev/ttyS1: Permission denied
Port User Host/Inet/Dest Type Dir Status Start Idle
---- --------------- ---------------- ------- --- ------------- ------ ------
S0 kmbyrne 203.37.223.1 Network In ESTABLISHED 120 0
S1 seqells 203.37.223.2 Network In ESTABLISHED 6 0
S2 trolleys 203.37.223.3 Network In ESTABLISHED 11 0
This is only a small cut, but u get the idea.. Now I am not sure why the
ctlportslave program (when called as finger) is doing this, but is this why the
finger is failing? If not, why else would it be failing? Thanx for your help.
