You should not use NasType with a proxy Radius server. The NasType is used by
the Session Database to verify logins and has no relevance to a proxy (indeed
this will probably cause failures with SNMP or finger or whatever).

This is because you are seeing packets from an Ascend (vendor 529) that is
using the new Ascend code that supports vendor specific attributes correctly.
There is a file called "dictionary.ascend2" in the patches area that defines
these attributes:

Yes - this is a function of the corresponding AuthBy (DefaultSimultaneousUse).
