Glad you have made some more progress. Looks like the DBD-Sybase is expecting
some behaviour that ouyr MS_SQL does not have.

We have tested with DBD-Sybase-0.13 and MS-SQL 6.5 without those problems.
Might suggest you downgrade to 0.13?
