Hi,
I am using Radiator-2.14.1, SunOS 5.7 Generic_106541-04
sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-1 and perl version 5.005_02 built for
sun4-solaris-thread. Radius server run well.
I run the Radius on the production machine which has older perl and
OS. SunOS 5.6 Generic_105181-16 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-Enterprise perl,
version 5.004_04 built for sun4-solaris.
The radius starts manifesting very odd behaviors in my production
machine which has perl 5.004_04 and SUNOS 5.6.
Is there any problems that the perl's version and OS's version might
cause?
Jason
Let me try to describe the odd. Sorry if it is hard to understand.
For example
I send requests several times using the same user name and password.
Radius authenticate the requests correctly. I then change the user name to
other
user name in other group. Radius starts behaving strange. Now I again send
the original user name which I know radius had no problem to do
authentication previously but
surprising, radius can not authenticate the one it just was able to
authenticate.
I am really confused by the odd behaviors. I guess(only guess) radius
server buffered the return values of my external perl script which will
exit 0
or exit 1. But the whole radius system is running perfect as it should be
in my test machine which has newer perl and OS. Why are they behaving
differently in different machines?
