Our internal testing showed close to 10x faster on a single processor 500mhz
PIII running RedHat 6.1 over a Sparc 5 running Solaris. I think you are mostly
seeing CPU horsepower. Radiator does not yet utilise threads (Perl limitation),
but when it does I think you will see significant improvements with
multi-processor machines.
BTW - we would be interested in seeing the results of your testing for our
records.
