How attributes are translated depends entirely on the dictionary employed,
and what dictionary to use is determined by what NAS and NAS software you are
running. If you are using recent Ascend gear that expects the Ascend
vendor-specifics, then you will need to use the vendor-specific attributes.
If you are using older Ascend gear that expects non-vendor-specifics, then
you will need to use the older dictionary definitions.
