Subject: Connection rejected by data source error
Date: Wed, 21 Feb 2001 16:38:40 -0800
MIME-Version: 1.0
X-Mailer: Internet Mail Service (5.5.2650.21)
Content-Type: text/plain;
        charset="iso-8859-1"

Usually our radius server works along happily then I get an error like this;

[OpenLink][ODBC]Connection rejected by data source (SQL-08004)(DBD:
st_execute/SQLExecute err=-1)
Wed Feb 21 16:26:33 2001: ERR: do failed for 'insert into Calls
                (CallDate, AcctStatusType, AcctDelayTime, AcctSessionId,
NASIdentifier, NASPort)
                values
                ('Feb 21, 2001 16:26', 2, 7, '338526183', '216.94.40.5',
10212)': [OpenLink][ODBC][SQL Server]Cannot insert the value NULL into
column 'UserName', table 'plat.dbo.calls'; column does not allow nulls.
INSERT fails. (SQL-S1000)
[OpenLink][ODBC][SQL Server]Login incorrect. (SQL-S1000)
[OpenLink][ODBC]Connection rejected by data source (SQL-08004)(DBD:
st_execute/SQLExecute err=-1)

This errors continue on and on and does not let users authenticate. This is
only resolved when I restart the radius daemon. Sometimes it continues on
with "Cannot connect to database, backing off for 600 seconds", resulting in
more down time. It is running on a Redhat 6.2 computer connecting to a MS
SQL7 database via openlink. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Tyler Woodworth
