Hi there,
can anybody help me with the following problem:
I use a cisco7200 with a 3des-ios and authentication and authorization via
radiator. Without encryption everything is going well. I use the following
user file:
test User-Password = "test"
MS-MPPE-Send-Key = "",
Service-Type = Framed-User,
Tunnel-Type = PPTP,
Tunnel-Medium-Type = IP,
Tunnel-Server-Endpoint = 10.10.10.254,
Framed-Protocol = PPP,
Framed-Netmask = 255.255.255.0,
Framed-Routing = None,
Framed-MTU = 1500
When I configure on my win98 under server-types: 'require data encryption'
the debugging output from the cisco is the following:
...
Mar 30 17:18:00 ... Vi2 MPPE: don't understand all options, NAK
Mar 30 17:18:00 ... Vilast message repeated 1 time
Mar 30 17:18:00 ... Vi2 MPPE: RADIUS keying material missing
...
The last line I got even without encryption.
The same result I got with several tests with
ppp encrypt mppe auto stateful
ppp encrypt mppe auto required
ppp encrypt mppe auto passive
ppp encrypt mppe 40
ppp encrypt mppe 128
on the cisco box.
The radiator debugging output says everythings is ok:
...
*** Sending to x.x.x.x port 1645 ....
Code: Access-Accept
Identifier: 30
Authentic: 5<151>W<242>&V<140>8<0><0><0><0><0><0><0><0>
Attributes:
MS-MPPE-Send-Key = "<169>a<224><152><155><134><189><220><238>K<148>,<19"
Service-Type = Framed-User
Tunnel-Type = PPTP
Tunnel-Medium-Type = IP
Tunnel-Server-Endpoint = "10.10.10.254"
Framed-Protocol = PPP
Framed-Netmask = 255.255.255.0
Framed-Routing = None
Framed-MTU = 1500
...
What expect the cisco from radiator when it says:
RADIUS keying material missing ??
Does it mean 'MS-CHAP-MPPE-Keys' and how is the syntax in user file?
Thanks,
Rolf
