Hi, The FAQ item describes how you do it with a fake DNS, and that's what Shaun wants to avoid.
It sounds to me as if you have a signup page for new users? If that's the case, you might solve the problem by having a a different IP address pool for this purpose, and config your firewall/routers to only allow access to the signup host. You could probably catch any http request and redirect it to the signup, otherwise you need to tell the users what URL they must use.
