VERY thoughtful article. Nothing all that new to me, but a new way to say it all, with sharp focus and , best of all, accessible to people who need to read it the most. I mean, how does anyone not notice how DC turns Republicans into doormats for Democrats, Well, maybe not right away, but it seems to always happen, sooner or later. Like even now, Kagan seems a shoo-in against utterly vapid GOP opposition. The Reps in the Senate just don't see what is all that wrong with her except a few legalistic technicalities. All kindsa hot stuff is out there, and each Senator has staff even if he / she isn't much of a web surfer, so they all could find this out EZ enough but it isn't a priority. Goes back to my votes for the Constitution Party ( and some other 3rd parties now and then ) even though I know they can't actually win anything except maybe a few down ticket races. The big boys, when they get to DC, become members in good standing of the country club set ASAP. Like in 2006 when GOP stalwarts were trying to outdo the Dems in corruption.
