Ernie :
Just got back, need a little time for some things around here. But time
enough
to ask a question.

"Both good and bad"

Obviously , my view is that it is all good, 100% good, with nothing bad.
What did I miss ?

At least you know the "theology" behind the words.
The goal was a simple, memorable statement of what we just talked about.
Critique of Islam, but most of the lyrics are all about a vision for the
future
based on ecumenical spirit.

But if there are serious problems, OK, I am willing to "listen" and make
a few revisions if necessary. As it is, the poetry of the three new
stanzas
is less than it could be, to understate the case. Need to work on that.
While I'm at it, maybe change a couple of other things.

Now is the time for that, viz, if you have the time for a critique.
If you don't, not a problem. Think I can muddle through, well enough.

Billy

Hi Billy,

Nice, in much the same ways as Lennons's. Both good and bad. :-P

Imagine

Imagine there's no Islam
It's easy if you try
No Qur'an for us
We reach for the sky
Imagine all the people
Living for the truth

Imagine there's no jihad
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no anti-Semitism too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be one

Imagine no Muhammad
I know that you can
No need for hate or thunder
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

Imagine the past alive again
A rebirth of lost faiths
The treasure of our youth
The promise of the Earth
Imagine a hundred Americas
Democracy for all the people

Imagine women free to be themselves
No need to pretend any more
The promise of a new beginning
And all men free to be honest
Imagine America for the world
A new kind of America reborn

Imagine India, imagine Iran
Imagine all the nations
Made new, their religions made new
For all the people, for the Good
And only for the Good
We can do it if we really try.

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one
