Communication is still the name of the game, but *interesting* is at least an 
_open_ game.

Money is neither necessary nor sufficient.  If you have something sufficient 
interesting -- and are willing to work at it -- you *can* get it in front of 
millions of people.  Remember this?

The point isn't that getting attention is *easy*. The point is that you aren't 
dependent on gatekeepers. You can substitute sweat equity and ingenuity. If 
both you and your ideas are sufficiently creative and persevering, you can 
build an audience starting from virtually nothing.  All it takes is time, hard 
work, and the right ideas.
