Ernie : Better take a look at the article about the MB and Hamas. The leopard has not really changed its spots. Hamas , which is essentially the MB in Gaza, although more "religious," still follows its charter that seeks the destruction of Israel. Heck, once in writing, few groups disavow their founding documents. The Nicene Creed still is applicable, so is the US Constitution, the UN Charter, and on and on. Yes, there can be change for the better, but the opposite can be true just as well. Hence the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is in the process of being gutted and now, because to pressures from just about all Muslim nations, the religious freedom provision simply says that everyone should be free to have a religion but the idea of free choice OF religion has been effectively dropped. Anyway, there is scholarship which brings the 20 year old document up to date. Will send when I can take time to do a search but, in so many words, not much has changed except some MB rhetoric. And, O yeah, there was a "liberal" faction of the MB but most of its people jumped ship some years ago. Long and short of it, I don't trust the MB at all. Doesn't mean there are no "moderates" in Egypt, but almost none are MB members. At least according to my sources. Some terrorists organizations do eventually grow up and start participating in the democratic process. I don't know if the MB is one of them -- I tend to doubt it -- but I'd prefer a more robust indictment then this. -- Ernie P. -- Centroids: The Center of the Radical Centrist Community <[email protected]> Google Group: http://groups.google.com/group/RadicalCentrism Radical Centrism website and blog: http://RadicalCentrism.org -- Centroids: The Center of the Radical Centrist Community <[email protected]> Google Group: http://groups.google.com/group/RadicalCentrism Radical Centrism website and blog: http://RadicalCentrism.org
