But the drop-down menu still shows up along with the unwanted suggestions when I try to type. No change at all. There is a little "gear" in the upper right hand corner. Click it and go to Search settings. In the lower part of the page, there is a place to turn off "Google Instant," which is the sometimes annoying feature you are complaining about.
