This is all that I have been able to access from today's edition of the
Jerusalem Post
despite references to the story at other sites. Each time I get a
"compilation error" message
for all sites

Even this much tells us something worth thinking about. This is brought to
the group's
attention since I know it first hand from my own dealings with Muslims
locally.
Best guess is that the experience is, if not universal, very common.
Namely,
just try talking to a Muslim. What you get is--

No self -critical attitude while you are expected to be self-critical
An assumption of the superiority of the Koran / Islam which follows
from a true-believer syndrome which is void of anything we would
  identify as an objective outlook

I have also come across comments about this exact problem but written
by Christians, indeed, Left-leaning Christians who have gone to lengths
to "engage" Muslims in interfaith dialogue only to find that all compromise
must be from Christians, none from Muslims.

Anyway, worth looking into. In all probability the J Post article
has some useful insights. Maybe it will become accessible later today.

_The coexistence conundrum_
(http://www.jpost.com/Magazine/Books/Article.aspx?ID=232509&R=R1)
In this exploration of issues relating to Muslim-Jewish relations in
America, the Muslim contributors are mostly orthodox, while the Jewish ones
are
progressive and self-critical....
