Things still are not right but typing is possible again at a normal rate of speed, the extreme sluggishness simply went "poof" and is gone --at least for now. But there are oddities. like moving a window and all that moves is the outline, then, after a delay, everything else. So, for all I know, the whole shebang may collapse again without warning. Haven't had time to test the whole system yet. Will see how that goes in the next few hours. Have started looking for someone who can give me a decent diagnosis. Bottom line, functional once more --while it lasts.
