Billy,
Thanks for making the effort. I think that the positive and negative
spins both have merit, and that as radical centrists we need to elucidate
radical thought from all over the place.
Here’s one... you know you are a Radical Centrist when you are willing to
consider and ponder ideas from widely disparate sources.
Thanks , Chris.
I like the above. Probably would be a good idea to develop this theme.
Mostly the focus here has been L v R, sometimes L & R, but not that often is
it really "ecumenical" in scope. There really is a world of alternatives to
think about and one of the features of C-Span, which really turns me on,
available nowhere else, are the "third party" debates the channel hosts each
election. In terms of channels, I definitely am a C-Span person. Brian
Lamb always amazes me because of how utterly fair he tries to be to all sides
of issues. He may sometimes go too far, but so do I, and maybe it is a
good idea to simply be thankful for what he does.
Billy
And Billy, you certainly qualify. I am regularly surprised by the
wide-ranging sources of the articles you post. You certainly aren’t a
Fox-only or
MSNBC-only kind of guy. I fall a bit short in that category because I
can't tolerate spending any time with either of those channels.

Chris :

You got me there. Seems as if you nailed me for an RC heresy.

I should have also made something of the positive side of the ledger,

not just the negative side.

OK.

You know you are a Radical Centrist when :

You like any number of ideas that the Democrats in Congress

and the Republicans in Congress have proposed as solutions

for our problems and are dismayed by partisan bickering

that gets nothing done.

You like some of the ideas proposed by the Obama White House

which seem to offer promise to solve some of our problems and

are dismayed that Republicans cannot bring themselves

to accept at least a few administration ideas as worthwhile.

You liked some of the ideas which George W Bush advocated

which might have helped the nation deal with its problems

and were dismayed that Democrats were so unwilling

to even listen to what the administration was saying.

The problem is that none of this is very funny.

Also, a biggie, it seems to me that most of what DC has offered to us all
recently, both parties, has not been worth very much. The "hate" is
supposed to be humorous by way of exaggeration. Trouble is that sometimes the
word
can be taken very literally, because of disgust at both parties.
Regardless, neither party is 100 % warped and evil, and such a negative
assessment
is only deserved, say, 80% of the time.

Billy

Can you create similar set of statements using an antonym for the word
hate?

You know you are a Radical Centrist when :

You hate the Congress for the many of the same reasons that

Democrats hate Congress and Republicans hate Congress

You hate Barack Obama for many of the same reasons that

Democrats hate Obama and Republicans hate him

You hated GW Bush for many of the same reasons that
