Bruno's & Ripoll's Bulletin is named after the
heroic freethinkers Filippo Giordano Bruno and Cayetano Ripoll.
Bruno was burned alive as pictured above by the
Catholic Church on February 17, 1600 for refusing to play along with their
dogmatic ignorance of Nature and reality.
Cayetano Ripoll was hanged on July 26, 1826 on
orders of the Spanish Inquisition for being a Deist and for teaching others
about Deism. He was the last person to be murdered by the Spanish Inquisition.
Both of these men are true heroes and are shining
examples to all Deists and freethinkers of courage and integrity in the face of
Christian/religious ignorance and brutality. They are also reminders to us all
of what happens when the "revealed" religions go unchecked.
Christian Parents Get Six Years in Prison for Faith Healing

In the October 4, 2011 edition of Bruno's &
Ripoll's Bulletin we
Shannon and Dale Hickman
had an article about the Christian faith healing
parents who allowed their premature newborn son to die because of their belief
in the Bible lie regarding faith healing. Yesterday the parents, Dale and
Shannon Hickman, were sentenced to at least six years in prison for the
unnecessary death of their nine hour old son, David.
The Hickman's belong to Followers of Christ
Church in Oregon. This article states, "The church shuns conventional medical
care in favor of prayer and rubbing oil on the sick." This is a true statement,
but it does not shed light on the fact that all Christians and Christian
churches should believe in and promote faith healing if they claim the Bible is
the word of God. This is because what the Hickmans were convicted of is
actually a teaching found in the Bible. Of course, the false Bible teachings
make it sound like this superstitious and ignorance based deadly nonsense
actually works. The dead baby David, the victim of the Hickman's Bible
originated superstition, proves beyond a doubt that faith healing does not work
and is a fraud with very deadly consequences.
Looking at the above image of Shannon Hickman, it
is evident she does NOT rely on faith healing for herself. For is she did, she
would not be wearing glasses. She would have instead prayed as according to
Bible instructions and her eyesight would have been restored. After all, the
Bible claims that Jesus healed people who were completely blind. Surely, just
correcting vision would be easier for Jesus than giving sight to someone who
has completely lost their vision and/or who were born blind.
If we want to help lessen the death and misery
caused by the "revealed" religions, then we must promote reason and Deism as
much as we possibly can. It is only by getting people to put the proper value
on their gift to them from God of reason, and by educating them that the books
they believe to be from God are not, and cannot, possibly be from God because
they violate God's gift to us of reason, that the "revealed" religions and
their fear based superstitions will cease to exist. We need to help people
understand the powerful idea expressed by a victim of Christianity, Galileo,
when he wrote, "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has
endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their
use." Then, and only then, individuals will be free of the fear injected into
them by the man-made "revealed" religions. (To learn how Deism has helped many

will society be free to move forward towards true and profound progress and
peace. As Deist pioneers, it's all up to what we DO NOW for Deism!
