that the first thing that pops into the head of someone when they
hear "progressive" isn't Teddy Roosevelt, it's Nancy Pelosi, or
some such. Don't think that's what you have in mind... ;-) You have to change the frame of reference from current usage and the intended audience has to know that you are doing it.
