I don't think a centrist can be called radical. A centrist has no real beliefs and are always trying to compromise. For example, Jon wants to go the brothel and buy him some sex. Steve does not want to go. He does not find paying for sex to be a wise choice. He would prefer bowling, golf, or a movie. A centrist says "let's go watch a porn flick at the adult movie theater". To him, it is not about what is good, right, or beneficial. It is about what is in the middle. -------------- It would be a somewhat unusual position, that's for sure. Not entirely sure such a political position really exists. "Centrist" views aim to strike a balance between the two extremes. So rather than being particularly left-wing or right-wing, they usually aim to be approximately in the middle and could use methods or policies from either philosophy. For instance, an extreme left-wing view would be for all corporations and industries to be publicly run by the state, whereas an extreme right-wing view would be for everything to be run privately. A centrist would consider either running something publicly, or privatising it, whichever seemed most appropriate. A key tenet of centrist philosophy is to try and find practical solutions to a given problem, rather than those fueled by a certain ideology. It would be rare that a centrist was described as "radical" as most aim for more moderate viewpoints. ------------ I suspect that would be someone willing to compromise everything.
