Best of luck Ernie!

I am a guy who can appreciate your attempts to make programming accessible.
My first feeble attempts at programming were in about 1982 when I wrote
these ridiculously long macros in Lotus 123 to automate some accounting
functions. The macros took about 20 minutes to run on the equipment of the
day. From there it went to 4th generation languages that were visual
basic-ish, like DBase. I played around with variations at about that level
for a decade or two until my business interests changed away from the need
to write any code. Good luck. If you want someone to play around with a
prototype, keep me in mind. I have had ideas of programs to write in my new
field. Also, my son a technically adept guy, is working on a program with
OpenOffice for the better management of Montessori classrooms. He might be
willing to work with you.

Leaving Apple after 17 years to launch a startup

After arguably the most amazing 17 years in computing history - seeing UNIX
spread from iMac to the Apple Watch - I've decided it is time to leave Apple
and strike out on my own.

I'll be taking a few months off to play with
<http://www.theswanfactory.com> some ideas I've been working on for
<https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/uncomplex> making programming more
accessible, to see if there's a viable business in there somewhere.

I'd love for you to <https://www.linkedin.com/in/drernie> stay in touch on
this next phase of my journey. Recommendations always welcome. I may need
them.
