New problem with feature creep If you access online the article in The Economist just sent to Centroids about the growth of nationalism globally, you will be in for an unpleasant surprise. This previously no-nonsense publication, while content still is king, is on the way to becoming one more entertainment platform. You see this phenomenon all the time now, starting with the mess that Google has made of itself, becoming an off-Broadway show rather than an unencumbered source of information and of access to the Web. Now, before you click even one site, you must needs be "entertained" by Google itself, as it celebrates a host of darlings of the political Left and promotes the latest art and animation gimmicks. AOL has been in this game for several years as well, and the once user friendly Christian Post has become -in terms of format- the UnChristian Post, with new focus on amusing its readership and making access to information difficult and unpleasant. At least, one feature that CP tried for a time has been abandoned, the gimmick whereby, when you click on, suddenly there is a soundtrack, usually some kind of advertising, that destroys your interest in actually reading Christian news stories. Maybe Radical Centrists could become known for our criticisms of feature creep, a plague that is, to use exaggerated metaphor, destroying civilization as we know it. My humble opinion Billy
