Ernie:

"And the Big Question: how can we get in front if it, so people will actually
listen to us?"

Exactly the right question to ask.

I have never said that you aren't smart as hell. On the contrary, you are very
smart.
But if I may offer a demurer, from my perspective you aren't much of a team
player.
Not that I make it easy for you with my -shall we say- healthy ego, but that
was
the whole point of the Ted Williams quotes. As if you have Williams on your team
and your reaction is, "I don't need him except as window dressing, I can do it
all
by myself, If he needs a quality fielder's glove, some quality bats, and good
cleats,
that is not my problem. He can get them all on his own even if he doesn't have
a dime
because, you see, my philosophy is Horatio Alger and any other philosophy is
incomprehensible to me."

Back in the Bugle days the first thing I did was to try and assemble a
team.based
on what I had thought was a good faith offer from you. Not that you did not
have reasons
for setting aside the offer, I get that, But, still, there I was, hung out to
dry
and leaving people whom I had approached to play a part in the Bugle
pushed off a cliff.

And I have tried to get some kind of help several time since, basically a good
contact
would do it, someone who sees where my skills could earn them a lot of money
and, in the process, set me up with professional resources to work with.

I know something about publications, and publicity and so forth,
but what is the use? I can offer any number of ideas, out of which a few
ought to produce results. But after some jaw boning that is as far
as you ever go.

Zero commitment to practical solutions to anything,

This is a good forum for jaw boning and it has decent and good people
associated with it. No point in my jumping ship. But I think
it is wise for me not to put any faith in RC.org ever producing
even one actionable plan that can have real world results.

That is, there are plenty of ideas for getting us noticed if you
really are interested, but you are not really interested.

Billy

Subject: Re: [RC] the Socialist critique of Capitalism

Hi Billy,

The question is what kind of Socialism can do the most good for Americans in
the future? A form that cuts Capitalism into pieces or one that reforms
Capitalism for the common good?

And the Big Question: how can we get in front if it, so people will actually
listen to us?

I’ve discovered that Being Right is mostly useless if nobody is paying
attention (cf Cassandra).
