Ernie:

Yes, it is a good article. However, there is a larger point than Evangelicals
needing

a superior choice than Left vs Right -although they certainly need that.

How about the need to give a damn

and

the need to become informed?

For that matter, the need to want to win and not accept defeat, should be on
the list.

Kindly tell me of any Evangelical you might name who gives a damn,

who is well informed, and who is not a defeatist.

Anyone at all.

Not talking about the one and only social issue that Evangelicals care about,
Abortion.

Close to 100% of Evangelicals do care about that matter. Which, after decades

of activism, is a battle that is being won. However....

What about homosexuality and transgenderism and gender feminism?

New WSJ survey is out; 33% of homosexuals are or have been child molesters

The rate for heterosexuals is in the teens somewhere, possibly lower.

Virtually all the children raped or coerced or seduced by homosexuals

are boys, virtually all the victims of heterosexual males are girls.

Percentage of Evangelicals who give a damn? Can't say for sure but let's be
generous

and say 10%, of whom the percentage who make themselves informed = maybe 3%

but could be far less.

But, hey, if it isn't your (anyone's) son, so what? Doesn't concern me, why
should it, right?

We Christians can hunker down in our safe churches and let the world
(literally) go to hell.

This is the attitude that I perceive is dominant in Evangelical-Land.

The percentage willing to speak out? Approximately 0%.

That's the real problem.

But who is willing to speak out who is not well informed? That is also a
problem

because Evangelicals, by and large, are indifferent to the need to do serious
research

so that they may become well informed. Everything else is more important,

literally everything else.

I do not see this changing in the foreseeable future. therefore, I need to
forget about

my one time hope of working along side Evangelicals (a few exceptions) because

basically there is no-one to work with. To be sure, this is an over-the-top
assertion

but about these kinds of issues the way it seems to me is that Evangelical
religion

is a massive failure.

About which no-one will actually do one damned thing.

Good confession. Evangelicals need a better choice then Left or Right, for
trump or against divisiveness.
