As some of you know, I've been trying to do some APRS experiments recently. I'm hindered by the fact that there are very few APRS nodes and digipeaters/igates in the area that can be heard.
Today I finally got two HTs running with APRS on both, and got one of them to send a message to the other that was gated to the Internet: http://aprs.fi/info/a/K6UAN-5 See the part that says: Last path: K6UAN-5>APZP14 via qAR,K6UAN That's proof of radio communication rather than the stupid Internet stuff! I need to do some other work this afternoon, but tonight I'll try to set up a permanent digipeater/igate on the roof, assuming we can get good enough wifi up there, and I can find a functional Raspberry Pi here. Alternatively I'll just set it up in our window. _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://list.hackmanhattan.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
