Dean, care to provide any info on the battery pack? I mean technical info, not marketing info. What are all the wires for? Pin assignments? Is there a thermistor wired onto the pack?
It would have been so much more convenient for non-idiots to have had the ability to just insert 10 NiMH AA cells. Of course you'd get the brainiacs burning out the units by inserting alkalines or other non-compatible chemistries. :) US$50 is still way too steep (IMO) for a 10 cell pack. Logitech is taking a play from DeWalt here it seems. ;) At $200 I'd really expect the Radio to come with the pack and remote bundled. Especially if Logitech's manufacturing margins have been streamlined and proportioned in a similar fashion to their Harmony unit (inside info from some employee on that front). That said, I still think the Radio is a good value at $200 and I'm in for at least one to add to my existing setup. Though likely two, as I think one would go very well in our daughter's nursery. And yeah, if Logitech is paying more than $2 for that remote, they're overpaying. -- MelonMonkey Bruno *'Twisted Melon - Fine Mac OS Software' (http://twistedmelon.com)* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MelonMonkey's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8466 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69600 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
