I'm gonna go and disagree with you there, I did a full search inc
hidden files using the advanced options and it found 1 thumbs.db which
resided in My Documents/random folder name. I deleted it.

I then used the cmd prompt (after searching on Google) and used that to
completely delete any traces of thumbs.db anywhere on the c:/

I then closed Windows Explorer and reopened and it's still very much
there.
