I know its not ideal, but is there an applet/menu setting, that allows you to set the headphone jack to line level out, then when deselected the regular speaker volume/headphone volume goes back to the previous setting.. I hate having to crank the volume to use an external speaker, only to have it being too high when i disconnect it... even if you had to just flip a checkbox manually after unplug it would be an improvement..
