I agree that the second approach sounds like the most desirable. It would be great to provide a checkbox in the per-player options for each button specifying whether to 'override' the global button behavior. I guess this would really just be the same as an 'enable' button, actually. The point being that the per-player button macro definition could/would be left in place even when the global button behavior was desired for a particular player. You could just uncheck the enable/override option and fall back to the global button behavior (if defined). Re-checking the option would re-enable to per-player macro behavior...
Wholehearted concurrence, BigPotato, about the how useful Kidsplay is for implementing a useful sleep function. The truth is that since there are other holes in the high level off-the-shelf functionality provided by the Radio, the Kidsplay plugin is really a wonderful tool for getting the types of behavior you want in a single button press (as long as the CLI functions work as advertised). Frankly, I'd like to see twice or three times as many preset buttons on the Radio (or an easy context sensitive way to swap back and forth between different sets of preset button definitions for the existing six - for example, by hitting a different Radio button cause a switch to the next set of preset button definitions). Then a simple overlay template (or just a small font printed square of paper stuck on the top of the Radio) could list the different preset definitions. Anyway, thanks for your support Peter. Using the CLI commands along with Kidsplay really seems to allow for taking advantage of the true capabilities of the Radio in the absence of attention being paid to off-the-shelf Logitech provided functionality... -- Marc ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Marc's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34776 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=72801 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
