Half duplex do work also but it's not optimal (in case of a real hub
it's normal) and if you're conneted to a switch you should check if it's
possible to configure the ports. Sometimes people do set switch ports to
manual speed settings and in that case the auto negotiation do not work
- both port side must be set to Auto.
