I like this and it has worked flawlessly so far. However, a couple of items lack intuition.
It looks like only the power on buttons and the pre-set buttons will start the radio from a stopped/power off state. However, lets assume someone else is already sleeping and you want to check the alarm settings at the radio itself. Shouldn't just pushing the little alarm icon on the front bring up the alarm settings? Now, the only way to check the alarm is a two button push (power on; then press alarm icon) -- which may make music play depending on your "power on resume settings". Should not the alarm icon button always present the alarm settings? Even if the power button was previously pushed off? This way it can be checked safely and without starting music if someone is sleeping -- regardelss of the "power on resume settings". Just food for thought. Which by the way brings up some confusion. As I see it, the power button is really a stop and/or a pause button -- depending on your "power on resume settings" in squeeze box server. I think the power button should be labelled stop/pause or something like that. The only way to really kill the power is to pull the plug. So it is not a power button. That label is confusing. Finally, some settings are on squeezebox server -- but not on the radio settings when at the radio. "Fade in" alarm is not on the radio itself. Also, on alarm volume, you can't see what number it is set on the radio (only on squeezebox server). It should always be consistent between the two in my opinion. By the way, I love the "fade in" alarm. Much better than waking up to jarring volume levels. Other than those minor quibbles, a very nice piece of equipment. -- eap ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eap's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32788 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73134 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
