Like so many others, I love the display and form factor on the SB Radio, but the sound leaves much to be desired, even for a small night table setup.
The tinny treble is just too harsh and wimpy even for quiet listening, Enter the M-Audio DV-30 powered speakers, which I bought for 85 bucks on Amazon. Of course, I am not getting soundstage or imaging on my night table, but I am getting full bass, mids and, finally, extended treble. I connected the radio using a mini to RCA adapter that came with the M-Audios. This is not an audiophile set up by any means, but it beats the pants of the anemic speaker on the Radio.
