I meant that add-on developers have found ways to work around problems like this in the past. They obviously can't overcome oversights in the hardware, but a number of plugins like auto-dim over come limitations like the blacking out the boom, which I use. When I mentioned this in another thread before the developer of the awesome auto-dim mentioned he would have to write a Squeezeplay applet to make the radio dim.
