Hi TurnipMan, I have a SB3 and SB Radio that connect to a mac server that is scheduled to go to sleep every night. I had the same issues as you are describing when my server would power off at night and power on in the morning - had to restart the device and sometimes manually restart the mac to get the SB's reconnected. Now I set the mac to go to sleep instead and since then I haven't experienced a reconnecting error.
